Pizza shop owner Sonmez Alagoz fatally stabbed while working nightshift in Western Sydney
A teenage boy has been charged with murder over the stabbing death of a popular pizza shop owner at his restaurant in Western Sydney.
Sonmez Alagoz, 58, suffered a stab wound to the chest just before 10.30pm on Tuesday.

A 15-year-old boy, who was among seven teens taken into custody by Nepean detectives on Wednesday, has been charged with murder.
He was refused bail and is due to appear in court on Thursday.
Six others — two boys aged 15 and 17, two girls aged 13 and two men aged 18 and 19 — were arrested at homes in Werrington, South Penrith and Penrith.
After being questioned by police, they were released without charge.


The Pizza Stop is a family-run takeaway restaurant Alagoz has owned for 14 years, and workers from nearby businesses have remembered him as a “very kind man”.
Superintendent Trent King said Alagoz’ death was “an absolute tragedy — there’s no other way of describing it”.
King said the Penrith man “had suffered a gruesome injury”.
