Prestons, West Hoxton: Residents shaken by early morning shooting spree in Western Sydney

Bullets were fired at a home in Prestons and a roundabout in West Hoxton.

Residents in Western Sydney have been left shaken overnight following two separate shootings just 20 minutes apart.

The first occurred around 1am on Friday in Prestons, where a Bluegum Avenue home was targeted and multiple shots were fired.

“Officers arrived to find unknown people had fired several shots at a home before leaving the scene in a car,” a NSW Police spokesperson said.

No injuries were reported from the occupants of the home.

Shortly after, at approximately 1.20am, shots were fired in West Hoxton.

Police arrived to find that shots had been fired into the air at a roundabout on Greenway Drive.

“Officers arrived to find unknown people had fired shots into the air at a roundabout, before leaving the scene in a car,” the statement said.

No one was injured, NSW Police confirmed.

Police have established crime scenes at both locations, while detectives have commenced investigations into both incidences.
