One was taken to Campbelltown Hospital, and the other two were taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead.

7NEWS understands the students were injured when a lighting rig fell as they were performing on stage.

“It just fell straight down ... because somebody wiggled it and bumped it,” witness Millie told 7NEWS.

A spokesperson for the Department of Education told 7NEWS.com.au that the piece of equipment fell during an end of term performance.

“The school immediately contacted emergency services and provided first aid to those injured.

“Three students have been transported to hospital with minor injuries, while the remaining students and audience members were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics on-site.

“Safe Work is investigating the incident, and the school is providing support to students, staff and families.”

Performances that had been scheduled for 1pm and 6pm at the school were cancelled while investigations into the incident continue.
