A man has been taken into custody after dozens of high-end vehicles were totalled during a car rampage inside the Star Casino hotel.
Just before 4am on Monday, police responded to a malicious damage call at the Edward Street, Pyrmont property after reports of chaotic scenes within the casino car park.
Officers arrived to find at least 34 vehicles and a boom gate had been damaged, with several high-end vehicles worth hundreds of thousands of dollars, including a Mercedes AMG SUV caught up in the carnage, according to reports on the the 2GB breakfast show.

A short time later, police were scouring the area for the culprit and located a 42-year-old man who refused to stop and was chased through the streets on foot.
Eventually he was arrested and has been taken to the Day Street Police Station where inquiries are continuing.
