A man has been taken into custody after dozens of high-end vehicles were totalled during a car rampage inside the Star Casino hotel.

A man has been taken into custody and will face court today after dozens of high-end vehicles were totalled during a car rampage inside the Star Casino hotel.
Just before 4am on Monday, police responded to calls about a man damaging cars around the Edward Street, Pyrmont property after reports of chaotic scenes within the casino car park.
Officers arrived and were told a man allegedly armed with a traffic cone, damaged the car park boom gate before proceeding to damage 35 vehicles, including a Mercedes AMG SUV, caught up in the carnage, according to reports on the the 2GB breakfast show.

A short time later, police were scouring the area for the culprit and located a 42-year-old man who refused to stop and was chased through the streets on foot.
Eventually he was arrested and has been taken to the Day Street Police Station where he was charged with 37 counts of destroying or damaging property.
The man was refused bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court today where police will allege the estimated value of the damages is approximately $100,000.
