Mum, teen daughter identified as pair found dead inside Marsfield, Sydney home

Police were called to the Marsfield property just after 10 o'clock this morning following a concern for welfare report.

A mother and her teenage daughter found dead inside a home in Sydney’s north-west were discovered by the woman’s son, loved ones say.

Jennifer Carrig, 54, and her 13-year-old disabled daughter were found inside the Marsfield home on Thursday morning.

Police were called to the home on Menzies Rd just after 10.20am following “concern for welfare” reports.

A friend of the family told 7NEWS Carrig’s son woke to discover the bodies in separate rooms before calling triple-0.

Neighbours described Carrig as “very friendly and very nice”.

“I’m just totally in shock, I’m a bit shaken,” one said.

“We didn’t hear any noise, nothing at all.”

Detectives are speaking with the family and those close to them.

Forensics remain at the scene combing through the home.

7NEWS has been told there is no ongoing threat to the public.
