Teenager stabbed with a machete at Chifley house party in Sydney

A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital with wounds to his back and legs.

A teenager has been stabbed with a machete in a brutal attack at a house party.

Emergency services were called to Chifley, in Sydney’s eastern suburbs, about 8.25pm on Saturday to reports of a brawl.

Police arrived at the Carnegie Court home to find a 16-year-old boy with lacerations.

The teenager was treated for cuts to his back and legs and taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a stable condition.

It is understood five males brandishing machetes stormed the party, before slashing the 16-year-old boy..

The five males, who were not invited to the party, left the scene before police arrived.

A crime scene was set up at the home and police have launched an investigation.
