Wentworthville: Two childcare workers charged over alleged assault on 17-month-boy

Two childcare workers have been charged with allegedly assaulting a 17-month-old boy in their care at an early learning centre in western Sydney.

A 42-year-old woman and a 32-year-old woman have been charged with assault after an incident on June 26 at a South Wentworthville childcare centre.

“Detectives commenced an investigation and ascertained the injuries were allegedly caused by two childcare workers at the facility during separate occasions on the same day,” a NSW police spokesperson said in a statement.

Following an investigation, detectives issued both women court attendance notices.

They will appear in Blacktown Local Court on Wednesday 27 August 2025.
