Victoria Police has identified additional childcare facilities that may be affected as part of their investigations into Joshua Brown, the childcare worker charged with over 70 child sexual assault offences.

On Tuesday, four new locations were revealed by Victoria Police’s sexual crimes squad, with employment dates for another 10 locations updated as “new information” comes to light.

Authorities now believe Mr Brown worked at 23 childcare centres between January 2017 and May 2025, with thousands caught up in the harrowing reality of his alleged crimes against young children.

“Detectives from the Sexual Crimes Squad have confirmed a further four work locations as part of the ongoing priority investigation into alleged sexual assaults by Joshua Brown,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said.

Kids Academy Waratah Estate in Mickleham, Milestones Early Learning Tarneit in Tarneit, Milestones Early Learning Braybrook in Braybrook, Milestones Early Learning Greensborough in Greensborough have now been identified as part of the “priority investigation”, with police highlighting dates of employment from August 2024 to February 2025.

Since charges were laid, Victoria Police and Government departments have recommended that young children who may have been around Mr Brown be tested for sexually transmitted infections due to the alleged sexual assault offences.

“The manner of the alleged offending means some children may be recommended for screening for infectious diseases, and also because infectious diseases can be transmitted in different ways,” the Victorian Government says on a information page that has been set up.

“Families can be assured the potential risk of exposure to infectious diseases is considered low, and testing results to date reaffirms this assessment.”

Parents are being urged to check the new information, including the additional locations and the updated dates of employment, and are being asked to call the dedicated advice line if their child attended affected locations.

Papilio Early Learning in Hoppers Crossing was previously identified as a possible location where Mr Brown worked, however, Victoria Police have determined this information was “incorrect”.

The error means some families were contacted incorrectly.

“Although records obtained by police recorded that Brown had worked at Papilio Early Learning in Hoppers Crossing between 22 August 2024 and 12 March 2025, further investigation has since determined this information was incorrect and the centre has been removed from the list,” a Victoria Police spokesperson said..

Victoria Police is in contact with impacted families.
