Whalan: Sydney Man charged with attempted murder after 73-year-old found seriously injured

A man is due to face court today accused of trying to kill a 73-year-old man in a stabbing at a home in Sydney’s North-West.
Emergency services were called to Bidman Place, Whalan, about 4.45pm on Wednesday following reports of a violent incident.
Police from Mount Druitt police area command arrived to find the elderly man suffering a stab wound to the chest. He was treated at the scene by paramedics and rushed to the hospital, where he remains in a serious condition.

He was charged with wounding with intent to murder (domestic violence) and wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm (domestic violence).
The man was refused bail and is expected to appear in Mount Druitt Local Court today.
