Woman dies after being trapped in car following horrific collision with B-double truck in Hunter Valley
A woman who was trapped in a car following a collision with a B-double truck on Tuesday has died in hospital.
The crash occurred on Martindale Rd, Martindale in the NSW Hunter Vallley region about 3.30pm trapping the woman and the 81-year-old driver of the car.
Police said the woman was “trapped for some time” before she was freed.

She is yet to be formally identified.
The driver of the car was treated at the scene before being airlifted to John Hunter Hospital in a stable condition.
The driver of the truck, 43, was not injured.
He was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
Police established a crime scene and commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
