Paradise Beach Purveyors Smoked Trout and Chive Dip 150g recalled due to contamination with listeria bacteria
A popular dip has been recalled after it was found to be contaminated with the bacteria that causes the infection listeria.
Paradise Beach Purveyors is recalling its Smoked Trout and Chive Dip 150g with the use-by date 07/10/24.
The dip has been available for sale at independent retailers, including IGA, in NSW and at Harris Farm Markets in NSW and QLD.

According to Food Standards Australia and New Zealand (FSANZ), the bacteria can cause “severe illness” in pregnant women, newborn babies, unborn babies, the elderly, and immunocompromised people.
“The general population can also become ill from consuming food contaminated with listeria monocytogenes,” it said.
“Consumers should not eat this product.”
Those who have purchased the dip have been urged to return it to its place of purchase for a full refund.
Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice.
