Pheobe Bishop, the 17-year-old girl allegedly killed at the hands of housemates, would have turned 18 on Monday.

Marking the grim day, which should have been a celebration, Pheobe’s sister, Kaylea Bishop, shared a heartbreaking message for her fallen family member, saying she hoped she was “having a ball up there” with their late dad.

‘Happy heavenly birthday to my angel, the big 18,” Kaylea wrote on Instagram.

“I miss you so much but I know pop and you are having an absolute ball up there partying, thrashing cars but most of all leading each other astray and to the next adventure.”

Kaylea posted pictures of her and Pheobe over the years, showing to two growing up together.

“Heaven is lucky to have such a beautiful angel. I’ll see you when you’re painting the sky beautifully for us tonight.

“I love and miss you sis.”

Pheobe, who was living in Gin Gin, west of Bundaberg, went missing on May 15. She failed to board a flight to WA, a trip to visit her boyfriend. Her housemates initially said they tried to drive her to the airport, before Pheobe exited the car near the terminal and disappeared.

On June 5, Pheobe’s body was located in the Goodnight Scrub National Park.

Queensland Police have charged Pheobe’s housemates, Tanika Bromley and James Wood, with murder and with two counts of interfering with a corpse, alleging that the 17-year-old’s body was moved “more than once” after her.

A third person, Kieren Daniel Mittelheuser, has been charged with two counts of accessory after the fact to murder and is also facing other charges of driving while disqualified, fraud and drug possession.

Police said it will be alleged that he used Pheobe’s mobile phone to interfere with their investigation.

The case will next be mentioned in court on November 3, with Queensland Police expected to provide an update on the progress of compiling a large amount of evidence for the case.
