A police officer has been stabbed in the head, and a man arrested after an incident in Sydney’s CBD.
NSW Police confirmed an operation was underway at Elizabeth Street but there was no ongoing threat to the public.
It was reported paramedics treated the officer for non-life threatening head injuries at the scene.

A man, 33, was arrested at the scene and assessed at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital.
Footage published by the Daily Telegraph newspaper shows more than a dozen police officers at the crime scene.
The footage appears to show a barefoot man handcuffed on the pavement and surrounded by multiple police officers and paramedics.
The injured police officer can also be seen in the footage being bandaged up and treated by a colleague.
A witness who saw the stabbing unfold reportedly told the Daily Telegraph they “heard a lot of sirens” before seeing police pin the alleged attacker to the ground.
The incident comes just over a month after the Bondi Junction stabbings, where Joel Cauchi stabbed and killed six people, and injured a further 12.
Cauchi was shot dead by a police officer.
