Brianna Myers is being remembered as a “wonderful” woman and mother with a “heart of gold” after she was killed in a horrific motorcycle accident on the NSW south coast earlier this month.

Brianna Myers, 34, was riding her motorcycle when it crashed into a car at the intersection of Cherry Lane and the Princes Highway at Wolumla, about 18km south of Bega.

Emergency services were called to Old Mill Road, the other side of the intersection at about 1pm on Sunday, October 13 after reports of a two-vehicle crash.

Ms Myers died at the scene.

Her six-year-old son, Charlie, was riding on the pillion behind his mother at the time of the crash. He was treated by NSW Ambulance for non-life-threatening injuries before being airlifted to Sydney Children’s Hospital in a stable condition.

The hospital confirmed to The South Coast Daily News that Charlie had not yet been discharged but was in a better condition.

The driver of the car — a 28-year-old woman — was treated for shock before being taken to South East Regional Hospital, Bega, for mandatory testing.

The Princes Highway was closed in both directions for several hours after the crash to allow police to establish a crime scene and investigate the circumstances around the crash.

Tributes have flowed for the 34-year-old mother-of-four whose tragic death makes a widower of her husband Chris.

A family friend Brooke Hume created a GoFundMe to raise money for the Myers family.

Ms Hume said she hoped the community could achieve her $10,000 fundraising target. The campaign has already raised $3415 for the Myers.

Ms Myers was a trained chef and worked at Bub’s Early Learning Centre in Bega; the centre’s owner Bianca Ritchie said the staff were in “shock” after their colleague’s sudden death.

Speaking to The South Coast Daily News, she said Ms Myers, who was a family friend, would be missed “deeply”.

“We just couldn’t believe it; we still don’t believe it,” Ms Ritchie said.

She said the 34-year-old had a “heart of gold” and first enrolled her children at the centre before becoming its head cook.

“You could tell she loved her children and all the children here so deeply.”

Another woman who worked with Ms Myers at the centre described her as a “friend to all” who “went above and beyond for everyone who knew her”.
