Caboolture shooting: Brothers wanted for murder of 23-year-old woman, Chloe Jade Mason, flee interstate
Two brothers wanted for the murder of a 23-year-old woman who was chased down and shot dead on a suburban street have fled interstate, police believe.
Queensland Police issued arrest warrants for brothers Codye Thomson, 29, and Kaine Thomson-Gleeson, 32, on Friday over the December murder of Chloe Jade Mason in north of Brisbane.
Ms Mason was found unconscious with a gunshot wound outside a property on Railway Parade, Caboolture — about 50km north of Brisbane — in the early hours of December 22.

Police treated the incident as a targeted attack and said that Ms Mason knew the brothers and had attended a Railway Parade address where an altercation occurred and she was shot.
Moreton District Detective Inspector David Harbison said at the time that the brothers were interviewed that day but were released without charge, pending further investigation.
“At that early stage of the investigation there was simply insufficient evidence available to indicate their involvement with this homicide,” he told reporters on Friday.
Police now believe the brothers have fled interstate and have released images of a vehicle of interest that was last sighted on December 30 travelling through northern NSW.
Authorities believe the brothers may be camping in northern NSW and travelling in a white Holden Commodore wagon with Queensland registration 953 HQ4.
Police have issued arrest warrants for the offence of murder after receiving further information and were satisfied they had sufficient evidence to bring the brothers before court.
A rifle was recovered from a Railway Parade crime scene, but tests are yet to determine whether it is the murder weapon.
Det Insp Harbison said Queensland Police were working with NSW Police to track down the brothers and that investigators were interested in speaking with anyone in the northern NSW region who may have seen the men or the vehicle.
“Obviously, these men have travelled some distance from Caboolture to across the border and would’ve interacted with members of the public along their journey,” he said.
“Any little bit of information can go far in helping us in this investigation.”
The public have been warned not to approach the pair, who are considered dangerous.
“I would urge these wanted persons to hand themselves in to the nearest police station otherwise police will continue to hunt you — you will be found and arrested on our terms,” he told reporters.
“They know they are wanted for the murder of Chloe so we fear they will go to lengths to avoid apprehension.”
