A man has been charged with murder after he allegedly assaulted and killed his 41-year-old neighbour in the early hours of Friday over a noise dispute in Sydney’s west.

A man has been charged with murder after he allegedly assaulted and killed his 41-year-old neighbour in the early hours of Friday over a noise dispute in Sydney’s west.
Police say emergency services were called to a block of units on Lister Avenue at approximately 1am, after reports of an assault.
A 30-year-old man is alleged to have punched the victim in the face “several times”, before the victim fell down a flight of stairs.

Officers administered CPR and the victim was rushed to hospital by paramedics, but tragically died soon after his arrival.
“A crime scene was established and Ryde detectives commenced Strike Force Mimeko to investigate the incident,” a police statement said.
Police arrested the 30-year-old before he was transported to Gladesville Police Station.
The man was charged with murder and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and was refused bail.
He was due to appear before Burwood Local Court later on Friday.
