Gary Glover: Prisoner who escaped from Silverwater Correctional Complex located

Police have found a prisoner who escaped from a maximum security jail in Sydney on Friday afternoon, after launching an urgent manhunt.

Gary Glover, 44, escaped from Corrective Services NSW custody in the State’s south west and was spotted on Jamieson Street in Silverwater, at 1.30pm on Friday.

A NSW Police spokesperson said officers from the Auburn Police area command immediatley began searching for Mr Glover.

Following inquiries, police found Mr Glover in Lethbridge Park. He was taken to Mount Druitt Police Station where charges are expected.

NSW police thanked the media and public for their assistance.
