Machete-wielding teens arrested after terrifying families at Bayside Christmas Carols in Brighton East
Teens allegedly wielding machetes have terrorised families at a Christmas carol event attended by thousands of people in Victoria.
Families at the Bayside Carols in Brighton East on Tuesday night watched on in horror as a fight broke out among youths just after 8.30pm.
Local MP James Newbury said gangs with machetes clashed with police.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.“A chase followed down Glencairn Ave with offenders dumping machetes over fences as the chase ensued. Police made multiple arrests at the corner of Dacey St,” Mr Newbury wrote on X.
No one was injured in the incident.
Three teenagers have been arrested.
A 15-year-old boy and two 16-year-old boys have all been charged and bailed with three counts of affray, three counts of assault with a weapon, three counts of unlawful assault and three counts of possess controlled weapon.
They will appear at a children’s court at a later date.
