Staff and patrons terrorised as man pours petrol on couple inside club in Peaks Hill, NSW

Patrons and staff at a club have been confronted with a terrifying situation after a man allegedly poured petrol on a couple inside the venue in NSW.

At about 5.40pm on Sunday, police were called to a club on Caswell Street, Peak Hill, following reports of the incident.

Officers attached to Central West police district attended and were told a man had entered the club and allegedly poured petrol on the floor and over a man, aged 55, and a woman, aged 50.

NSW Ambulance paramedics assessed the man and woman and did not require treatment. The club was evacuated as a precaution.

A 28-year-old man was chased from the club and arrested a short time later on Mingelo Street, Peak Hill.

He was arrested and taken to Parkes police station and charged with stalking/intimidating intending to fear physical etc harm, posse using explosives to destroy others’ property, throwing/laying down explosives with intent to maim/do grievous bodily harexcludingded person failing to leave premises when required, stalk/intimidate intend to fear physical etc harm and destroy or damage property.

He appeared before Dubbo Local Court on Monday and was refused bail to appear before Parkes Local Court on Tuesday.
