Toogum: Female pedestrian killed after collision with ute in Queensland

A female pedestrian has been killed after being hit by a ute in rural Queensland.

Police are investigating the fatal vehicle and pedestrian crash at Toogoom night.

Emergency services were called to the intersection of Toogoom Cane Road and Pialba Burrum Road around 6.25pm, following reports of a woman being struck by a GWM Cannon ute.

A 39-year-old Waterford West woman was treated at the scene for critical injuries; however, she was later declared deceased.

The ute driver, a 31-year-old Eli Waters man, was physically uninjured and stopped at the scene to render assistance.

Anyone in the area at the time of the incident who may have dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
