Concrete truck and sedan collide as 19-year-old woman killed in Waterloo Corner, Adelaide

A young woman has been killed after her car collided with a concrete truck on the outskirts of Adelaide.

Major crash officers are on the scene and are investigating the fatal crash at Waterloo Corner early on Tuesday morning.

Just after 12.15am, emergency services were called to the intersection of Port Wakefield Highway and McEvoy Road at Waterloo Corner after reports a concrete truck and a sedan had been involved in a crash.

The driver of the white Lexus sedan, a 19-year-old woman from Buckland Park, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the truck was taken to hospital where he is being treated for minor injuries. He is assisting police with their investigations.

The intersection was closed for about five hours whilst Major Crash officers examined the scene, but the road has since reopened.

The woman’s death is the 69th loss of life on South Australian roads this year.
