Powerball $100m draw and results: Half of all Aussies expected to buy a ticket
Powerball fever has taken over the nation, with half of all Aussie adults expected to buy a ticket in tonight’s $100m draw.
The last time the Powerball jackpot reached $100m in November 2024, sales peaked at 5.47pm when 6415 tickets sold in a single minute, according to The Lott.
If one person scoops the entire division one prize, they will share the title as Australia’s third biggest lottery winner.

She is part of an exclusive group of six Australians who know what it’s like to win a Powerball prize of $100 million or more.
Since her extraordinary win, the woman has changed her life: embracing a sea change, relocating from Hawthorne in Brisbane to a house on the beach.
Despite her newfound wealth, she tried to live life as normally as possible.
“The last year has flown by. It’s hard to believe it’s been one year since my life-changing event. I often speak with my partner about the version of us from last year to now, and if only we knew what was to come!” she told The Lott earlier this year.
“On a day-to-day basis, not a huge amount has changed. I still get up for the 6am gym session, and the dog still needs to be walked and fed. The longer-term vision we have for our lives is slowly coming together.
“We have purchased a place near the ocean on the coast and continue to create lifelong memories with our beautiful family and friends.
“Our local community will be a big focus for 2025. Each day, we’re deeply grateful, and we often speak of that day. I will always be thankful to dad for answering my early morning call on that Friday! I am sure there will be some champagne to celebrate the one-year milestone.”
Tickets for tonight’s Powerball draw can be purchased up until 7.30pm AEST.
