An Adelaide man is at work despite having a sleepless night after realising he was the sole winner of the $150 million Powerball jackpot.

“Woohoo! I’m still pinching myself,” the ecstatic winner said.

“I can’t believe it. I’m the mystery winner! I’m Australia’s biggest lottery winner ever!”

After purchasing his winning ticket from OTR Salisbury Drive Thru, the middle-aged Adelaidean contacted lottery officials early this morning to confirm his life-changing win.

With his ticket not registered to a player card or online account, lottery officials had been eagerly waiting for the ticket holder to come forward.

The winner said he was in disbelief when he discovered his new fortune on Thursday.

“I actually had two tickets into last night’s draw. I looked at the clock last night and saw it was getting late and thought the draw should have been done by then.

“So, I checked the first one and it came up with nothing, then I scanned the second one and it said $150 million! I’ve never screamed so loud or jumped so high!”

Despite the monumental win, the man is currently at work.

“I know it may sound crazy but I’m going to continue working. I’m at work today.

“I’ll buy a house, want to travel the world, and I’ve got family and friends I want to help, but for now I can’t wrap my head around how big this prize is.

“This is life-changing. I can’t stop smiling and pinching myself.”

The winning numbers for Powerball draw 1462 were 18, 29, 34, 8, 4, 28, and 6, with the Powerball number being 11.

Alongside the division one winner, there were 4,433,211 winners across divisions two to nine, sharing over $89.3 million. Nine division two winners each took home $276,036.95.
