He’s planning to keep on working.

The Alice Springs man might be taking home half of the $50 million jackpot from last Thursday’s draw but he’s already certain he won’t be giving up his day job anytime soon.

The prize is believed to be the biggest ever individual win in the Northern Territory.

The hard-working Top End dad wasn’t a registered lottery player so he was none the wiser to his massive windfall until his wife reminded him to check the ticket that was in his ute.

“Woo-hoo! I’m debt-free!” he told The Lott officials.

“Thank you so much! This is very exciting.

“I had no idea. The missus actually reminded me to check my Powerball ticket this morning. I grabbed the ticket, which was sitting in my ute this entire time, and checked it in front of her.

“We couldn’t believe our eyes when we saw we had won $25 million. My wife nearly fainted!

“We just kept checking it over and over and it kept coming up with $25 million!

“I immediately burst into tears.

“I’m going to continue to work — contribute to the workforce!”
