Brisbane school terror plot: Teen charged by AFP over an alleged plot to attack in Queensland
A teen has been charged with preparing for an act of terror over an alarming alleged plot to attack an Australian school.
The teen is accused of attempting to purchase firearms online.
It is understood the teen planned on using the weapons in an attack on a school in Brisbane’s north.

By continuing you agree to our Terms and Privacy Policy.“The QLD Joint Counter Terrorism Team has charged a young person as part of an ongoing investigation in Brisbane,” an AFP spokesperson said.
“They have been charged with one count of acts done in preparation for, or planning, terrorist acts contrary to section 101.6 of the Criminal Code Act 1995 (Cth).
“There is no current threat to public safety.”
The Courier Mail reported the teen’s lawyer submitted to the Brisbane Children’s Court that the teen has “level two autism”.
“In this matter, which involves a 16-year-old young person, who I am told and without challenge accept that suffers particular vulnerability in terms of autism, there is a risk of prejudice to him,” the court heard.
The AFP confirmed the investigation remains ongoing.
