Aerodrome Rd, Maroochydore: Four injured after car ploughs into group of pedestrians

A man has been arrested after allegedly crashing into a crowd of pedestrians on the Sunshine Coast overnight.
According to the Queensland Police Service, emergency services were called to Aerodrome Rd in Maroochydore, shortly before midnight on Saturday.
On arrival, they found four people, three men and a woman, injured.

The alleged driver, a 38-year-old Maroochydore man, was taken into custody a short time later.

A 23-year-old woman from NSW was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she remains in a critical condition.
The three men, two aged 18 and the third aged 19, were taken to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in with serious injuries.
Police say the investigation remains ongoing and have called for anyone with information to get in contact.
