The body of a missing camper has been found during a search and rescue operation at a campsite in southeast Queensland.

The 21-year-old Brisbane woman was last seen at a campground on Inverramsay Road in Goomburra, south of Toowoomba, about 11.40pm on Thursday.

She was reported missing to police and was last seen wearing a pink jumpsuit and tracksuit pants.

Police said a search for the missing woman resumed on Friday morning, where her body was discovered close to the campground about 8am.

“An aerial search was conducted, and a land-based search resumed at first light this morning,” police said.

“The woman was located deceased nearby.

“Police will prepare a report for the coroner.”
