Boy, 16, suffers ‘significant life-threatening head injury’ as e-scooter and car crash on Wynnum Rd, Brisbane

A boy riding an e-scooter suffered a life-threatening head injury when he crashed into a car on a busy Brisbane road.

The 16-year-old boy was riding through the intersection of Wynnum Rd and Network Dr in Wynnum West about 6pm on Tuesday when he crashed with a Hyundai Kona.

He was rushed to Princess Alexandra Hospital with what paramedics have described as a “significant life-threatening head injury”.

The Kona driver, a 62-year-old man, was uninjured.

Witnesses have been asked to come forward amid a forensic investigation into the crash.
