Man suffers ‘gravel rash all over his body’ before motorbike explodes in Pacific Mwy crash, Rochedale

A man in his 20s was injured when he came off his motorbike on the Pacific Mwy in Brisbane's south.

A young man suffered “gravel rash all over his body” when he crashed his motorbike, which exploded in flames on a Brisbane motorway.

The man in his 20s came off the bike in what is believed to have been a single-vehicle crash on the Pacific Mwy in Rochedale about 8.30pm on Thursday.

Paramedics treated him for “gravel rash all over his body” on the road, according to a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson.

No further injuries were reported.

He was taken to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.

His motorbike caught fire some distance up the road, footage supplied to 7NEWS shows.

Police closed all but one of the southbound lanes as they responded to the incident.
