Brisbane River search underway after woman reported missing near South Brisbane CityCat terminal

Police and emergency services are engaged in frantic search after reports a woman disappeared in the Brisbane River on Good Friday.

Emergency services are engaged in a frantic search after reports that a woman has gone missing in the Brisbane River on Friday morning.

A statement from Queensland Police said that at around 2am they were called to an area of the Brisbane River near South Brisbane following reports a woman had gone into the water from the CityCat terminal.

Despite efforts to locate her, she has not been seen since.

Police issued a description stating she is caucasian in appearance with a slim build and shoulder-length light brown hair.

She was last seen wearing a black and white dress and black sneakers with white soles.

Anyone with any information is urged to contact the police.
