Brisbane worker rushed to hospital after sustaining serious injuries at Kenmore construction site

A man has been left with serious injuries after a piece of metal became lodged in his neck at a workplace in Brisbane.

Paramedics were called to Vidgen Lane in Kenmore about 3.20pm on Tuesday after a man, believed to be working at a construction site near the Jindalee Centenary Bridge, was injured at a work site.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said the man, aged in his 30s, was treated for serious facial injuries.

He is believed to have walked into a metal frame, a piece of which has become lodged in his neck.

He was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition.

WorkSafe Queensland has been contacted for comment.
