Caboolture tragedy: Three-year-old girl dies after Nissan Navara crash north of Brisbane
Emergency services have been called to a devastating incident involving a young child.
A three-year-old girl has died after being struck by a ute while going for a walk with her family north of Brisbane.
Queensland Police said the child was hit about 6.47pm when a Nissan Navara turned right from Lynfield Drive onto Toohey Street.
Emergency services were called to the scene, however the young girl died at the location.

A nearby resident, who later placed a teddy bear at the scene in tribute, said she was shaken after hearing screams following the incident.
The forensic crash unit has launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the collision.
A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said two women in their 20s and a male toddler were taken to Caboolture Hospital in a stable condition but were suffering from “emotional distress”.
Police have reported that the 49-year-old Cabooltue woman who was driving the Nissan Navara is assisting with inquires.
“Anyone with relevant CCTV or dashcam footage from around the time of the incident is urged to contact police,” the statement said.
