The alarm was first raised around 7.30am on Thursday when an injured man was spotted at a supermarket in Logan.
Police say the wounded man ran to the shop on Beaudesert Beenleigh Road at Bannockburn from a Belivah address, where they found the woman and child deceased.

“Police do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the community.”
“Investigations continue and there is no further information at this time.”
