Major road closed after two trucks crash, catch fire near Toowoomba
The Queensland road is expected to remain closed for several hours.

A man has died in a firey truck crash that has shut a major south-east Queensland road.
The two trucks were travelling along Toowoomba Bypass Rd in Ballard, north of Toowoomba, when they crashed, causing one truck to burst into flames, about 12.10am on Wednesday.
A Queensland Fire Department spokesperson said three fire crews attended, with one man needing to be cut free from the wreckage.

Despite their efforts, the man could not be saved and was declared dead at the scene.
The other driver, a 50-year-old Ravenshoe man, was uninjured in the crash, and declined transport to hospital.
Fire crews brought the blaze under control about 3.45am.

Police have shut the road to all traffic from Charlton to Helidon, with delays expected.
“The Toowoomba Bypass eastbound lanes have been closed and are expected to remain closed for several hours,” police said.
“Officers are appealing to anyone with relevant dashcam footage to contact police.”
Diversions have been put in place for drivers travelling eastbound towards Helidon.
Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
