A man died at the scene and a woman succumbed to her injuries in hospital.
A man and woman have died after a tragic crash on a major Queensland highway.
The 76-year-old man and 68-year-old woman from East Mackay were travelling on the Bruce Hwy at Kuttabul on December 28 when their Toyota Kluger crashed.
The woman was rushed to Mackay Base Hospital in a critical condition and has since succumbed to her injuries.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, and anybody with information or dashcam footage is urged to come forward.
