A man has died of internal injuries suffered when a rolling trailer pinned him to a lamp-post on the Gold Coast on Wednesday.

The trailer stacked with old furniture had rolled down a hill on Bushmead St in Nerang at about 12.15pm.

A 43-year-old man was trapped against the post, and emergency services found him with “significant” internal injuries.

“The man died shortly after,” Queensland Police said.

Investigations are ongoing.
