A man is fighting for life after he was hit by a falling elevator cart at a worksite on the Gold Coast.
The man, aged in his 40s, was at a worksite on Hollywell Rd in Biggera Waters when the piece of machinery fell and struck him about 11.30am on Wednesday.
Paramedics treated him for multiple life-threatening injuries before he was rushed to Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.
