A desperate search is underway after an eight year old girl was allegedly taken in Queensland on Thursday morning.
Queensland Police issued an amber alert and appealed for public help to find the girl after she was taken from a facility on Beach Road, Maroochydore around 10.45am.
Police say a man, known to the child, was seen taking the girl and putting her into a car and driving away.

The man, in his 40s, is described as being Caucasian, with a shaved head, slim build, and wearing a dark shirt, black slides and boardshorts.
The vehicle is a dark blue Toyota Hilux with a silver tray with the Queensland registration 156VBO.
They are believed to be in the Sunshine Coast area, including Noosa.
