Three people have been injured after a grandstand collapsed during a sold-out music festival on Queensland’s Gold Coast.

The temporary grandstand, set up on Coolangatta Beach for the Red Hot Summer Tour, collapsed during a performance by Australian rock band Boom Crash Opera about 2.50pm on Sunday.

Queensland Police confirmed three minor injuries had been reported, with officers still at the scene.
