Pheobe Bishop vigil: Kylie Johnson confirms candlelight event in memory of Pheobe to help Gin Gin community

Pheobe Bishop’s mother has shared a heartbreaking social media post, confirming upcoming plans to honour her daughter’s life and start the healing process after her alleged murder, despite not having her body yet.
Kylie Johnson, Pheobe’s mum, took to Facebook to acknowledge the “amazing community” that have rallied to offer support.
“Honestly we have received calls, texts and so many messages of support,” Ms Johnson wrote.

Ms Johnson shared a poster of an event that will be held in memory the teen.
“May you always be wild and free,” the poster says.
“A community candlelight vigil will be held in memory of Pheobe.”

The event will be held from 4pm to 6pm on Sunday, June 8, at the Kolan Community Park on Mulgrave St in Gin Gin.
People attending have been asked to wear bright colours and butterflies, as well as candles for the teen’s vigil.
“This vigil is a way of our family acknowledging Pheobe’s impact on our community, the community’s efforts and the importance of a community that cares” Ms Johnson said.
“For those reasons this is an important part of a communities healing.”
Housemates James Wood, 34, and Tanika Bromley, have been charged with the alleged murder of Pheobe, with police saying on Friday they believe the two moved the missing teen’s body “more than once”.
“While we don’t have Phee home to put to rest just yet,” Ms Johnson said, “our community needs the healing process to start.”
Bundaberg Region Mayor Helen Blackburn originally shared the event poster.
