Photographer Nadia Shevtsova remembered by family in touching tribute after deadly crash at Gold Coast

A Queensland photographer killed in a horrific motorbike accident on the Gold Coast has been remembered by her family as an “incredible” mother, wife and friend.
Nadia Shevtsova, 38, was riding with a group of motorcyclists on Ashmore Rd in Bundall about 8.15pm on Friday when the unthinkable happened.
Police said at some point during the ride, three of the riders, including Nadia, collided between Chale Ct and Showcase Ct.

Her husband, Vitalii Brokhof, praised the care of emergency services who attempted to “help her come home” to their family.
“I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who was there in her final moments,” he said.
“The emergency services, first responders, and the people who stopped to help. Thank you for your care, your actions, and your humanity. It means more than I can ever put into words.

“Nadia was the love of my life. She was full of light, strength, and kindness. Her last ride was something she loved — and I am grateful to everyone who tried to help her come home.”
A 20-year-old man, who was on one of the other bikes, was taken to Gold Coast University Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
The third rider, a 50-year-old man, received minor injuries.
The mother-of-three from Browns Plains, south of Brisbane, ran a successful photography business and showcased her photographs through her online page.

Nadia’s husband posted to her supporters that there would be “no new videos, posts, or photos” and that “her chapter on Earth has come to an end”.
“Now she is an angel in Heaven,” he said.
“My dear wife, partner, friend, business partner, mother, and soulmate. Thank you for being with me, for being such an incredible woman, and for making me the man I am today.
“Thank you for being my wife for 16 years and four months, for our two beautiful boys and our beautiful girl.
“Thank you for everything you did for our family.
“When my time comes, and I join you, I hope you’ll meet me so we can continue our journey together — but not today.
“I love you so much, and I will love you forever.”
Reaching out after the post was published, one user said she and her family had been present at the scene of the accident.
“Vitaliy, my husband, son and I were with Nadia from the very moment it happened,” she said.
“I would like to let you know we held her hand and comforted her until we couldn’t anymore. She wasn’t alone.”
On Saturday, another motorbike rider, a 27-year-old Cannon Hill man, also died when his motorcycle crashed with a car in Cannon Hills about 12.30pm.
On Friday, a 19-year-old Buderim man was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries after crashing his motorcycle into a road sign in Maroochydore.
Investigations into the circumstances of all three accidents are continuing.
