Queensland: Man dies after e-scooter collides with electric skateboard in Urangan

A 39-year-old man has died after his e-scooter collided with an electric skateboard, leaving the rider seriously injured.

An e-scooter rider has died after colliding with an electric skateboard in the Queensland suburb of Urangan.

The 39-year-old was travelling on Boat Harbour Drive bike corridor between Ann Street and Robert Street on Wednesday night when he was involved in a crash with an electric skateboard.

Queensland police said in statement provided to The Nightly the e-scooter rider, from Scarness, was critically injured on impact and died at the scene.

A 30-year-old man, who was riding the electric skateboard, sustained critical injuries and was rushed to Hervey Bay Hospital.

Police have urged anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant vision to assist with investigations is urged to contact the force by contacting Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 00 or report online at its website.
