A recall alert has been issued for minced meat sold at independent retailers, including IGA stores in Queensland.

Warwick Meats QLD is warning customers that its Premium 4 Star Mince Beef 500g with the date marking Best Before 13/12/2025 may contain plastic.

“Food products containing plastic may cause illness or injury if consumed,” the notice reads.

Consumers are urged not to eat the product and to return it to the place of purchase for a full refund.

“Any consumers concerned about their health should seek medical advice,” the notice adds.
