Rockhampton airport evacuated, all flights out suspended after security scare
A major regional airport has been evacuated and all flights in and out suspended after a security scare.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said officers were responding to an incident at Rockhampton Airport and as a precaution passengers and staff had been evacuated.
“All outgoing flights have been suspended, and all incoming flights have been diverted until further notice,” the spokesperson said.

“Anyone travelling is advised to contact their airline directly,” a statement on its Facebook page read.
