Taabinga: 12-year-old girl among three killed in horror triple fatality crash on Bunya Highway

A fatal collision on the Bunya Highway northwest of Brisbane has claimed three lives.

Three people, including a 12-year-old girl, have been killed in a horrific two-car crash in Queensland.

A Dodge Ram ute and a Ford Ranger ute collided on the Bunya Highway, Taabinga, near Kingaroy, on Monday night, according to Queensland Police.

The Dodge Ram caught fire after the collision and the sole occupant, a male, died at the scene.

The Ford Ranger was being driven by a 44-year-old woman who had two children in the car.

The woman and a 12-year-old girl died at the scene.

A 13-year-old girl, who was the third occupant of the Ford Ranger ute, was airlifted to Queensland Children’s Hospital. Queensland Police confirmed the survivor is in a serious but stable condition.

The forensic crash team have been brought in, who are now trying to piece together the details of the incident that tragically left three people dead.

“The Highway remains closed with diversions in place while investigations at the scene are completed,” a Queensland Police spokesperson said.

Anyone who may have been travelling in the area around the time of the crash and may have information is urged to contact police via Policelink on 131 444. .
