It’s alleged three people had snatched the child from a Woodridge skate park on Friday amid claims he threw a rock at their car.

Police say the boy was driven around the suburbs for more than half an hour before his parents tracked down the 4WD and the violence erupted.

After he escaped, the boy can be heard asking for his scooter: “Where’s my scooter, can I have my scooter?”

The alleged attackers fled the scene of the fight in the 4WD but were stopped by police and arrested less than 100m away.

Acting Deputy Commissioner Chris Stream said at a media conference that the alleged abduction had been frightening for the child.

“It is really scary for a child to be involved in that kind of incident as you would appreciate. It is also very scary for the parents involved.”

Three people have since been charged. A 27-year-old man has been denied bail after the prosecution argued he posed an unacceptable risk to the community.

A 22-year-old Woodridge man and a 22-year-old Kingston woman are due to appear in the Beenleigh court next month and have been granted police bail.
