Brazen thieves have used a car to smash into a shopping centre after hours, stealing valuables.

Brazen thieves have used a car to smash into a shopping centre after hours, stealing jewellery and watches.

Gladstone Central Plaza on Philip St in West Gladstone, Central Queensland, was broken into at about 2am on Friday by a black Citroen sedan.

CCTV footage shows the car smashing through glass doors and driving inside the shopping centre, causing significant damage.

A man got out of the car and entered jewellery store Angus & Coote, stealing a large number of valuables before fleeing the scene.

Police later found the vehicle abandoned.

No one was injured.

Anyone with any information has been urged to come forward.
