Toowoomba: Young child dead after horror crash involving teen driver in Queensland

Emergency services have tried in vain to save the life of a young child after a horrific car crash in Queensland.

A five-year-old girl died after the serious crash involving two vehicles in Vale View on Saturday.

Police and emergency services responded to reports a blue Ford Ranger and a gold Subaru Outback crashed at the intersection of Drayton Connection Road and Luck Road at about 11.40am.

The five-year-old passenger in the Subaru, was transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital, where she later died as a result of her injuries.

The driver of the Subaru, a 64-year-old Vale View woman, and another child passenger were transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Ford Ranger, a 19-year-old Spring Mountain man, was transported to hospital as a precaution.

Two 18-year-old passengers of the Ford Ranger were not injured.
