Tragedy at Queensland caravan park as toddler found unresponsive in pond

A two-year-old boy has died after being found unresponsive in a pond at a Queensland caravan park.
Emergency services were called to the site on Bruce Highway on Friday morning. Despite desperate efforts to save him, the toddler could not be revived.
It is believed the boy may have been missing for some time before he was discovered in the water. A source familiar with the situation, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, told 7NEWS the child had been in the care of multiple adults at the time.

The caravan park has drawn criticism in several online reviews, with users describing the site as poorly maintained and potentially unsafe.
At this stage, no charges have been laid.
Queensland Police confirmed the child’s death is not being treated as suspicious, and a report will be prepared for the coroner.
