A road rage incident outside Dreamworld has left two people injured after reports of an assault outside the popular Gold Coast theme park.

Paramedics were called to the Dreamworld theme park in Coomera on the Gold Coast following reports one person was assaulted and another struck by a car about 3.35pm on Monday.

Both people are reported to be in a stable condition with back and head injuries, according to a Queensland Ambulance Spokesperson.

The victims reportedly ran into Dreamworld for help when they were assaulted.

Dreamworld said they could confirm that an incident occurred at the front of its premises on Monday, involving individuals who were not guests of the park.

“We would like to clarify that no Dreamworld guests were involved in this incident,” they said in a statement.

“As this is not an incident involving our guests, we will not be providing further details at this time.”

Queensland Police said the assault was the result of a road rage incident after a crash.

“Police allege that following the crash, an altercation has taken place where occupants from one of the vehicles have chased occupants from the other vehicles back into the theme park,” they said.

“A male from one of the vehicles has then been assaulted by an offender from the other vehicle.”

Police said after the assault, the offender fled the scene.

“The male who received the injury is being treated at the scene,” they said.

“Police are appealing for anyone with dash cam CCTV or mobile phone footage to come forward.”
